POV DISCUSSION: Unemployed Romance Episode 7

And we’re back in the story with Episode 7 🙂

I don’t like this episode so much. It wasn’t as boring as the previous one, but it still doesn’t show much 😦 I want to know how Wan Ha and Jong Dae become friends~! And…there wasn’t enough of Wan Ha 😦 However, the good thing is that Jong Dae sort of redeemed himself a little bit in this episode, and that makes him less of a whiny boy that I thought he was.

Both Jong Dae and Seung Hee are dating someone else – who they don’t love, or have any sort of romantic feels for. I thought Seung Hee should be more warm to Wan Ha, because from what I remembered, she kind of like him too. No? In this episode, it seems like she’s back to being awkward around him, which doesn’t go well with me.

He tells Jong Dae to do well to be a full-time employee.vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h48m56s176vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h48m59s211vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h49m01s233A pretty girl walks in – and both Jong Dae and his senior tries to clear the queue so that they can call her number. Ends up that she goes over to Jong Dae’s counter. They continue meeting each other and started dating.

vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h49m46s167vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h49m26s222But Jong Dae is not happy. We all know why 🙂

vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h50m02s74vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h49m58s32And we’re back to this scene!

vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h50m39s187vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h50m36s161As Jong Dae follows her out, he tells her that he is only using her. So that he can keep his pride in front of his friends. She tells him that she doesn’t mind, which sorts of touches him.

vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h51m00s143vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h51m07s214Back to this scene. Both of them are embarrassed as both of them are not doing well in their lives. They exchange a lot of words back and forth and started arguing. vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h51m38s5vlcsnap-2013-11-17-03h51m41s44And the whole thing was captured on camera and uploaded online. Hah.

Seung Hee says that she is dating Wan Ha, and that he might dump her. Sis tells her to bring him home, and to just grab hold of him. Seung Hee tells Wan Ha that her sis wants to meet him. To her surprise, Wan Ha is pleased and doesn’t mind at all. HAHA!

Seung Hee meets Jong Dae’s gf in the office, and the gf tells her to talk to her for a while. Seung Hee and Jong Dae realised that she set up that meeting so that they could resolve their matters. Gf picks up a call.

Seung Hee doesn’t eat cream – thus he requested for it without cream. Seung Hee says it’s fine. Jong Dae begins to comment on Seung Hee’s weird eating habits.

Jong Dae redeemed himself in this episode, because he remembers the little details about Seung Hee. I don’t really know what’s the purpose of Sun Joo in the drama plot. I mean, she’s the cause of Jong Dae and Seung Hee not dating again – but it’s not as if she tries to win Jong Dae’s heart for her own. So I don’t get the purpose. Even if she’s just jealous of Seung Hee…it’s just weird.

I wish the last two (?) episodes is tight, because seriously the drama is not really that interesting or that fun, or quick paced. It’s just that the casts are cute, so is Wan Ha and…yeah. I don’t even know why we’re watching something quite terrible (in a drama sense).

  1. “I don’t even know why we’re watching something quite terrible (in a drama sense)”

This is exactly what I’ve been asking myself for the last six weeks! 🙂

This episode, though, surprised me. Not just because stuff actually happened for what seems like the first time ever, but because it really made me care about one of the characters particularly – Yeon Woo. I want to see how the OTP end up together, but I also really want to see a happy ending for this sweet, good-natured kid.

  2. Why are we watching this drama? I keep asking myself that too considering how awfully slow this drama is. (sigh) But then I remember I started it cause the teaser hooked me in. Then I continued because Wan Ha is so cute and I’m totally wishing he gets the girl 🙂 and I’m still watching because I want to see how Wan Ha and Jong Dae became friends (i should probably give up now because i don’t think they will ever show us how they became friends. darn you writers)
I had so many unanswered questions watching this episode. I feel like no one talks enough to each other. They go through the motions and talk but not enough to clear up any misunderstandings. I keep asking myself why is Seung Hee still friends with Sun Joo? That girl is not nice. I too thought Seung Hee liked Wan Ha too. I don’t understand why is she all of a sudden started being all awkwardly weird around him. Why?? I’m so confused.
I’m sorry but Jong Dae has to do more than just remember small things about Seung Hee to fully be redeemed in my eyes. I’m still rooting for Wan Ha to sweep in and take her away. Here’s to hoping the last three episodes move faster than these first 7.

  3. Agree with your thoughts. Both main casts are cute and even the lawyer bf but the story is so dragging. Sometimes, I wonder why I am watching too. I find myself very funny and I just want to laugh at myself for watching this show.
