Episode 2 brings us deeper into the different kind of emotions the characters feel. Clearly, both Eun Jin and Sung Soo still care for each other. Someone is threatening Eun Jin, and even though the No.1 suspect is a hired man by Mi Kyung, we never know. For all we know, it could be Min Soo.
Eun Jin and Jae Hak started to casually eat together, but that relationship soon progressed into an affair. Details are not showed yet, but they are constantly being showed through flashbacks. What started as pure fun, turned into something different.
I’m not going to do a recap, but a discussion/summary on certain parts of the episodes.
Eun Young finally burst and ranted at customer Kim Jin Soo and told him that by visiting her all the time is almost the same as sexual harassment. She calls for the security by shouting, “Ahjusshi!”, and it’s actually Min Soo’s first day at work. She starts screaming that he came here to see her all the time and she felt crept out. The customer agrees, and tells her that she’s right about him coming because he wants to see her – but not in the way she thinks. He says that she resembles his dead mother. She scoffs, saying that it’s such a chessy pick up line. The customer shows her the picture of his dead mother, and she is surprised that she really looked like her. Hah. She is told to apologised to the customer by Min Soo.
Eun Young started arguing with Min Soo, saying that he shouldn’t have asked her to apologised that way and that it was not wrong of her to think that the customer liked her. Since he even winked at her, it felt creepy as well. However, Min Soo reasoned with her, that the thought of him liking her, was just her own assumptions and that she never asked him before, so technically she was in the wrong. Eun Young can’t win the argument.
Eun Jin worries when she hears Yoo Jung has not returned home. She runs out to make a police report but is dismissed as it was only 3 hours since she went missing. Mom calls and tells her Yoo Jung is home. Eun Jin beats Yoo Jung and scolds her for not informing them if she went somewhere. Yoo Jung says that she wanted to confirm her mother’s love and hugs Eun Jin. She thanks Eun Jin for hitting her, and she is convinced that Eun Jin does love her. Awww.
This is a flashback. Eun Jin tells Jae Hak that she never thought that she’ll feel this way. She thought that it will be fine to have an affair, because her husband had one too. However, as her feelings grow for Jae Hak, she feels weird towards Sung Soo. Jae Hak mentions that it’s because Sung Soo is her spouse, and that in a marriage, man and woman’s relationship is not that simple. They are a family, that’s why it’s weird.
Mi Kyung looks on at Jae Hak who is drinking alone. She insist in making a snack while he drinks, and he rants at her frustrated that she insist in having her way. He tells her to just accept things the way they are at times and not to strive for perfection.
Jae Hak and Min Soo goes for a drink. Jae Hak asks Min Soo why he treats him as a stranger. Min Soo argues that if he and Mi Kyung divorces, they are strangers. Jae Hak asks why he is so serious, and Min Soo replies that he is always serious when it comes to Mi Kyung. Jae Hak jokingly says that if he has an affair, he would probably get beaten up. Min Soo says that he like the way their relationship is right now, and he hopes that won’t happen.
Sung Soo comes back home after drinking with Eun Jin’s brother, and he starts to cry, thinking of his father. He sits up after crying his heart out and has a chat with Eun Jin. Sung Soo tells Eun Jin to stop talking about the past and to let it go. He tells her that he doesn’t want a divorce. Eun Jin thinks to herself that his decision would probably change if he finds out the truth. Sung Soo moves closer and attempts to kiss her, but she is reluctant. He asked her what if he does it despite her reluctance, and she replied him that he would probably feel dirty. HAHA. He backs off and tells her that she had a talent in making people lose the mood.
Eun Jin apologises, and Sung Soo tells her to stop the apologies she don’t mean. He went on and say that if her mind is still mad, to at least do it with the body. HAH. Funny dude. Eun Jin argues on how is that possible and Sung Soo agrees to just sleep quietly.
Eun Jin meets up with Jae Hak and asks him if someone from his side is aware of their relationship as she is being threaten. Jae Hak brushes it off, and when he is driving home he realised that a car is following him. He purposely stages an accident, but the driver got away.
THOUGHTS & DISCUSSION
I don’t know who is the one tailing or blackmailing Eun Jin, but it’s either Mi Kyung or Min Soo. Min Soo clearly is over protective of Mi Kyung and I really think it’s because he secretly loves her. Or, maybe he really cares for her because she treats him well. I still think it’s the former.
Whatever it is – I hope Min Soo is not a criminal, or become a criminal because I want him to have a loveline with Eun Young. Heh 🙂
Anyway, I really like Sung Soo and Eun Jin and I wish for them to stay together. The writer sure have some sense, as I literally burst into laughter when Sung Soo told Eun Jin to forgive him by body first. HAHA. I still think Eun Jin loves him too, because she is worried that he would be hurt too by the person who is threatening her.
