Awww 😦 Chilbong~~
I’m not sure if this episode give us any clues on Na Jeong’s husband, but it’s a heartbreaking episode for Chilbong shippers, but definitely a good one for Trash shippers. I’m still on Chilbong’s boat. Hahaha. Trash and Na Jeong are really cute together, and I do like their moments together, but I really want Chilbong to be happy too 😦
Chilbong is going away for a long time, Trash and Na Jeong starts dating for real and Haitai experiences life in the military. It’s full of sweet moments in this episode 🙂
Not going to do a full recap, but a rough one which covers the main point of our loveline 🙂
The episode starts off with present time 2013, in Na Jeong’s house. They wanted to order more food, and Trash agrees to treat them. Na Jeong gets the menu from the drawer and passes it to Chilbong. Trash stands and takes his wallet from somewhere in the house. While making the call, Chilbong stands and talks somewhere else in the house. Trash shouts to get alcohol as well, but Na Jeong tells him to stop drinking so much and screams at Chilbong not to order alcohol. Trash looks at her.
*flashback to the hospital kissing scene*
Na Jeong waits for Trash nervously. Trash naturally put his arms around her and asked as per normal where she wants to eat. They quickly left to eat.
At the restaurant, Na Jeong is stiff and awkward. Trash calls her name softly and looks at her. Na Jeong refuses to look at him and started crying. Trash holds her close and tells her not to cry and that he was in the wrong. He went on saying that there is no reason to cry as he likes her too.
Binggrae asked Chilbong what is he thinking about, and Chilbong keeps quiet. Binggrae asks if it’s Na Jeong, and tells Chilbong to give up as she likes Trash and even though Trash didn’t accept Na Jeong, it’s only a matter of time. Chilbong says that he is fully aware, and he knows that Trash likes Na Jeong too. He tells Binggrae that he has no choice but to just wait. He’s not giving up.
Trash sent Na Jeong home. Na Jeong remembers that Trash had something to say. Trash mentions that he already did earlier with his body. LOL. Na Jeong doesn’t get it and says that he should say it in words for her to understand. Trash says that he already said it at the restaurant, but Na Jeong still doesn’t get it. Trash hands her the necklace, and Na Jeong gets all cute and asked him to put it on for her. Trash tells her to keep her voice down, and she hugs him tight. And Trash gave the most adorable face ever. HAH.
The first letter from Haitai has arrived, and everyone gathers round to hear what he wrote. He tells everyone that he’s fine and that the only problem is his senior who swears a lot, and does nothing much.
The kids gather round again for drinks and hoppang, as it’s Chilbong’s farewell party. Chilbong will be going for winter training, and will be flying to Japan after that. Trash couldn’t make it as his cousin is hospitalized for breaking her legs after she tried to climb over Seo Taiji’s house wall. Heol.
Trash’s cousin claims to have a supernatural power, and mentions that she had a dream about Seo Taiji leaving in a helicopter. Trash brushes it off, and she went to to say that he’s dating. He doesn’t believe her, and she continued describing Na Jeong in detailed, including her major, her hairstyle, and her boob size. HAH. She tells him that he likes her more than she likes him, which made Trash surprised. She continues, saying that Na Jeong had liked him more previously but now he likes her more. They exchange a few words and his cousin went on to say that he will break up with Na Jeong, and that there is another guy involved. She tells him to treat Na Jeong right, or else she would run away to the other guy. Trash worries, and ask his cousin again if it’s true. HAHAHA. His cousin says she don’t know.
The kids start drinking and talk about how rumours says that the Earth will get destroyed in 2000. HAHAHAHAHA. They tell Chilbong there is no need to go to Japan any more and just live life they want to. Chilbong laughs it off, saying that if the Earth doesn’t get destroyed, they all could find another job, but he has nothing to live on. Sam Cheon Po tells him to go to Japan, but return on December 31 in 1999, so that they could all be together. Either all die together, or it’s a reunion. They wonder if they will forget about it.
Yoojin gets drunk and starts her bad habit again. She calls Chilbong and Binggrae idiots for not having any girlfriend, even though they say that they have a long line of girls waiting. Yoojin went on saying that Chilbong is better than Binggrae as Binggrae never even held a girl’s hand before. She continues and says that he is pitiful as his first kiss was Trash and that might probably be his last kiss too.
The mood gets awkward, and Na Jeong tells Sam Cheon Po to bring her to her room. Yoojin looks at Na Jeong and blurts out that Na Jeong kissed Trash the day before. Na Jeong is shocked that Yoojin revealed that, and looked over to Chilbong. AWKWARDDDD. Chilbong stands up and leave, saying that he’s going to bed and Binggrae follows after him.
Binggrae asks Chilbong if he needs any help with packing, but he’s all done. Chilbong takes out a baseball from a small box and asks Binggrae if he remembers the ball. Binggrae does and asks if he’s bringing it along. Chilbong says that he wants to give it to someone. Binggrae asks if he has talked to Na Jeong, after all tonight is the last night with Na Jeong. Binggrae tells Chilbong that he feels that Chilbong might not return from Japan this time round. Chilbong says that he should at least grab some suju, and Binggrae agrees. Chilbong laughs saying not with him.
Na Jeong is in her room doing the horse stance, while talking to Trash. She sits on the bed and asked him to sing her a song but Trash hangs up. Hah.
Chilbong teases Na Jeong by speaking in dialect, and they started chatting as usual. Na Jeong asks Chilbong a whole list of questions about his preparations for Japan, and Chilbong just listens and look at her with those eyes 😦She convinces him that he will do well no matter what, because amongst all of them, he is the most adult-like and nice. He’s a very nice person. Chilbong replies, “Because I’m nice, that’s why I’m ruined.” He says that because he was too nice, he couldn’t even ask the girl he likes out. Na Jeong listens to him quietly, and looks out the window. She tells Chilbong that it’s snowing.
Chilbong tells her to go in first as he has something to do. She smiles and asks him for a handshake before he leaves. Chilbong tells Na Jeong to live well too, and when she was about to let go, he holds on her hand and…Chilbong tells Na Jeong that if he comes back after a long time, and if she doesn’t have anyone by her side at that point of time, to date him. Awwwww 😦
Trash introduces Na Jeong to his seniors, and he pays attention to her throughout the dinner. After the dinner, Na Jeong is relief, and Trash asks her why she was so nervous. He asks her if they should go eat, but she hugs him instead and tells him that he should have treated her like this from the start.
Binggrae goes back home as his father needs another heart surgery. He cries when his father insist he should go back and that he is fine. His mother asked Binggrae if he had received the tuition money and when is it due. Binggrae is hesitant in telling the truth, and tells his mother that he’s going to pay for it once he get back to Seoul.
We then hear Binggrae’s voice-over which explains that we cannot bring ourselves to step on those who we love just to get where we want, instead we gradually learn to let go of our dreams. Our dreams are important to us, but some people are just as important.
BACK IN 2013.
Binggrae is opening up a clinic, and they talk about each others job. Sam Cheon Po points at the book-shelve and asks Na Jeong, what is the ball there for.Yoojin mentions that there is a story behind it, to which everyone asks her to shut up. Hah. Only Sam Cheon Po is unaware? Trash is tense, and so is Chilbong and Na Jeong – which left me wondering…why?Chilbong stands and hold the ball.
THOUGHTS & DISCUSSION
He didn’t give the ball to Na Jeong before he left! But Na Jeong has the ball now in the present! When did he actually give her the ball? That…we’ll find out in the future episodes I guess. Hah.
But why is everyone so tense? If Na Jeong had married Trash, true enough, it would be awkward to talk about the love triangle between them. However, if Na Jeong had married Chilbong, it shouldn’t really matter anymore, right?
I swear that Trash and Na Jeong really look good together, and sweet. However, I can’t help it that I’m really a Chilbong shipper, and I want him with her. Lol. Trash’s cousin mentioned that they will break up, and I wonder if it’s really going to happen or she was just spouting nonsense.
On a side note, I really liked the fact that Binggrae has his own time to shine at the hospital with Dad. Awww. Cute puppy 🙂
Okay. Back to topic. Clearly, Na Jeong is no longer clueless and insensitive to Chilbong’s feeling. She clearly knows Chilbong will be upset when Yoojin revealed that Na Jeong and Trash had kissed, and it might also be an indication that she is starting to care for Chilbong’s feelings as well. Maybe I’m just delusional? Hah.
I mean – she spent like forever liking Trash, so it’s natural if she doesn’t realized that she might have like Chilbong too. She might be blind-sided by her love for Trash and the fact that Trash had reciprocated her feelings might have made it harder to realise that she likes Chilbong too. Again, it might be me delusional.
Let’s just wait for tonight’s episode 🙂
I didn’t notice there were medical books in the shelve as well O.o By an chance…do you think three of them might live together? You never know…maybe the drama is going to make Trash as Na Jeong’s Oppa and they live together, with her husband, Chilbong. HAHAHAHA. Okay, that’s definitely the delusional me speaking. I thought I’ll be fine even if Trash is the husband, but OMG, I really want Chilbong 😦 I just feel so bad for him.
I didn’t notice either that Dad had mentioned his son-in-law is not handsome in previous episodes, but if he really said that…there’s a high chance it’s Trash I guess. Noooooooooo 😦
