Let’s Eat has finished airing and the last episode wrapped things up beautifully 🙂 I loved every moment of it, and I’m so going to miss everything about this show, especially the FOOD!
Of course, I wouldn’t say the drama is flawless, but I really enjoyed myself and each episode has something to offer, be it the food porn, or the cute, or the mystery.
When I first started watching it, I thought it would be focusing on the lives of singles, and how it is difficult living alone – and it seemed to be going in that direction in the early episodes, but somehow along the way, the drama moved towards the romantic angle as well as the mystery angle – which I didn’t mind at all because it’s full of cute 🙂
Let’s talk about Jin Yi first – so she went missing for the first quarter of the last episode and everyone was worried about her. Soo Kyung and Dae Young realises that they didn’t knew much about Jin Yi. Jin Yi realises that her Dad was partly at fault for Gwang Suk’s dad reason for suicide, and she told her dad to give up the appeal.
And of course, Jin Yi is still Jin Yi. Hah. She’s her hyper-happy self days later, and who knew that Episode’s One Jajangmyeon would make a special appearance again?! HAHAHAHA! Soo Kyung finally gets to eat it.
Lawyer Oh went on the TV program which Lawyer Kim previously went and she gained ‘popularity’ because of her ‘looks’. It’s totally hilarious and she’s back to her delusional self and she resumed her diet.
Lawyer Kim told Soo Kyung and Kyu Shik to flatter her, and Kyu Shik goes overboard by telling her that they should replace the lawyer’s office name to her’s and Lawyer Kim, which pissed Lawyer Kim off. Hah.
Anyway, so Kyung Mi’s son started turning around in circles to gain Jin Yi’s attention, but he just got scolded by Kyung Mi. He carries Bara to the restroom, and tells him off, before backing off when Bara barked at him. I can’t decide who’s cuter. Hah.
And we move on to Lawyer Kim~! I loved this scene when Lawyer Kim comes face to face with Soo Kyung and Dae Young, while the two were holding hands. Soo Kyung felt awkward and tried to free her hand.…but Dae Young held it firmly and it was just so awesome.
Lawyer Kim and Soo Kyung eat for ‘the last time’ as a man and a woman, and he asks her why it is okay with Dae Young but not him, and starts making her feel awkward by asking all the weird questions. Soo Kyung stands up to leave, and Lawyer Kim says that the thing he wanted to do most was to let her go like a cool guy, and not by being petty and seeking revenge. He tells her to sit down and finish her meal. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. He looked like he was going to burst into tears.
And we move on to the main highlight….*drumrolls*~! Dae Young gives Soo Kyung the cut off portion of his cast and starts praising himself. Soo Kyung comments that he’s all talk – and he says that he should response with actions as well, and takes off his jacket and she got nervous. AHAHA!
Soo Kyung went to Dae Young’s award ceremony for the King of Insurance, and she tells him to kiss the trophy and she’ll take a picture, but he kisses her instead and say that there is no reason to kiss the cold trophy when he has his girlfriend’s cheek to kiss. GWAD. THAT FLIRTING. AHAHAHA.
Soo Kyung starts hitting him playfully, and out comes Jin Yi from the bathroom, who thinks they’re arguing again and asks them if they really are dating. Awww. Jin Yi has accepted it coolly 🙂 And she’s even disgusted when she finds out about Dae Young’s habit of killing insects with his trophy and basically not cleaning it. Well, they say you’re blind when you’re in love, so she probably never noticed his habits when she was blinded by him. Hah.
Say goodbye to yummy looking food 😦 All of them ate deliciously, and instead of empty plates, Dae Young decides to take a picture of something else, which was framed against the wall. It’s a poem which Gwang Suk’s Mom likes…
“To you who used to eat a lot of rice because you are lonely…To you who sleeps a lot because you are bored…To you who cries a lot because you are sad…I write this down. Chew on your feelings that are cornered like you would chew on rice.Anyway, Life is……something that you need to digest.”
*weeps* It has ended 😦 Anyway, they included a very short Behind The Scenes footage, of the NGs – and it’s screaming CUTEEEE to me, I wished they have a whole hour of BTS for us to munch on.
There is a special airing this coming Thursday – but I don’t know if it’s BTS or just like some sort of a summary kind of thing. Whatever it is, Let’s Eat has officially ended, and I’m walking away feeling awesome because the drama was just so awesomely soothing to watch 🙂
Thanks to everyone who has been reading and following with my Let’s Eat discussions 🙂
