I’m so happy to be back, and I got myself a new laptop – so now I can slowly start to keep with the dramas and do discussions. Yay🙂
So, I’m watching Dr. Stranger and I’m having mixed feelings about it – anyone else feeling the same? What do you guys think? Is it fun and enjoyable?
I can’t decide whether I like it or not, but I know I don’t love it. It’s bearable, and sometimes really good to watch, but sometimes I get so bored I don’t feel like watching it anymore. And it doesn’t help that I prefer Kang So Ra over Jin Se Yeon. Yes, I know most of the viewers are split too, and a lot of people are hating on Jin Se Yeon. I feel a bit bad for her, but I’m not going to lie – I’m not a fan of her as well.
But no – I don’t go around bashing her okay? Maybe to close friends, but not on the internet. Hah. But she’s not the reason why I can’t love this show. Well, at least not the main reason. I like the hospital set-up, and the operations – but I really…..don’t like the political stuff going on. It’s just a genre preference, so that’s the main reason I can’t love this show.
I actually thought Jin Se Yeon was not bad in the first two episodes, but her character turned so dull and you really have to blame the script for that. I want the happy Jae Hee back. Why must they turn Jae Hee into someone so cold? It would have been more fun if Han Seung Hee is still the same happy Jae Hee (but of course insisting she’s not) – BUT she’s cold behind people’s back. I think it would have been more interesting. It’s like in front of people, she’s kind and friendly – but when she’s alone or plotting, you can see that Jae Hee is no longer that same nice and kind Jae Hee.
It would have been better – but then again, it might be a little for much for Jin Se Yeon, right? Not just her, even most actors who have a lot of experience have difficulties doing dual roles. (Since we’re talking about this, I really applaud Yang Jin Sung – who did really well in her dual role for Bride of The Century.)
Anyway, plot-wise, I wish we could move faster in terms of these messy political stuff – and can we have more operations? I don’t think there’s enough operations scenes. I NEED MORE. The operation scenes are short, too short and there’s only a few. PLEASE?
Putting all of those aside, I would say the drama itself is not bad, and to some people it might be awesome, but to me, it’s 50% my thing and 50% not really my kind of thing. Hah. It’s bearable for now because besides the politics, everything else is actually okay.
