DO NOT TAKE OUT THIS RECAP.
PART ONE: HERE.
Woo Hyun and Seul Bi goes to the library to arrange the books. Seul Bi apologizes for causing them to get punished, and asks if Woo Hyun still can’t find his necklace. He tells her that it’s fine and it’s better this way.
Woo Hyun asks Seul Bi if she intends of following him and is about to say that she can’t, when she cuts in and says that she can’t go home with him today as she’s going somewhere. She takes her bag and leaves first.
Seul Bi hides behind a tree and waits for Young Eun to leave, before thinking to herself why should she hide in the first place. She pretends that the tree is Young Eun and scolds at the tree, and Sung Yeol who is watching is amused.
While getting the keys, the teacher tells Sung Yeol to not just study inside his room, and to go out and play as well. Studying is not everything, and trying your best is more important than being good.
Sung Yeol asked if her boyfriend had given her that necklace, and she says that it was given by a mother. She uses the goggles and put her face under water before coming back out saying that she can’t breath.
Young Eun and friend are inside a cafe, and they decided to call Seul Bi to deliver rice cakes. The female staff is unhappy and tells them to eat outside, before being greeted by someone she doesn’t want to see.
They heard a noise from the back, and an elder man is searching the female staff’s bag and taking her money. Woo Hyun stops him from trying to hit the female staff, and Seul Bi holds his leg, just like how the female staff did to prevent him from leaving.
Woo Jin and his friend are out for lunch, and heard the commotion.
They stop the elder man and asks if he is stealing from kids, and he rants out that he is her father and they should stay out from his business. They reveal themselves as policemen, and the female staff tells them to take him away and press whatever charges they can so that he can be away for a long time.
Woo Jin returns her money, and asks if he really is her dad, and she denies. She rants that she grew up alone, and tells her dad that he never provided for her like what other dads did, and she doesn’t has a dad. Woo Jin takes him away.
Woo Hyun phone rings, and it’s Sung Yeol who asks to speak to Seul Bi. Seul Bi tells Woo Hyun that she is leaving first to meet Sung Yeol and tells him to get some stuff from the supermarket which his grandmother had asked for.
Sung Yeol looks at the necklace, and Ji Hye walks in. She is surprised to see the necklace and asks him where did he get that from. He mentions a friend, but refuses to say anything more as she tries to probe which friend.
Seul Bi gets a toy car from the toy machine and gave it to Sung Yeol. He asks her how long is she staying at Woo Hyun’s, and he tells her until she finds something. She thanks him for finding the necklace, and he thanks her for the car.
Woo Hyun goes to the supermarket to get the things Grandmother asked for, and he bumps into Ji Hye. His friend came by and called his name, and they turned to leave when Ji Hye asked for his name again. Ji Hye is shocked to hear that he is Woo Hyun.
Woo Hyun smells something weird, and asked if she fell somewhere. She said she did – and he asked her if she fell in love. She looked at him and wonder, and he smiles, saying that if she had to fall, she might as well fall in love. She pouts before noticing Sunbae at the back, and Woo Hyun turns around, and his eyes widen.
THOUGHTS & DISCUSSION
WOW. Finally. This recap might seem short, but it took me quite long to finish it up, so most likely I won’t be doing recaps. Discussions require less screencaps and I could just talk about the main stuff, instead of writing about what happened in the episode in general.
So anyway, we know that Ji Hye is Woo Hyun’s mom – but did they mentioned on how they got separated? I don’t really remember. But I’m pretty sure we’ll find out why Ji Hye left Woo Hyun, and ended up married to Woo Jin. She’s actually quite nice and understanding, seeing that she told Woo Jin to let Sung Yeol’s mom to visit him often. She probably understands how difficult it is as she can’t see her own son.
There must be a reason on why Sung Yeol’s mom isn’t around – maybe Ji Hye wasn’t the problem, but rather Sung Yeol’s mom is the problem which caused Woo Jin to divorce.
That female staff, though, is she their classmate? I can’t remember all the classmate faces – so I’m not sure if she is one, or she’s just a random character. It was nice to have the whole dad-stealing-daughter-money scene, but unless she’s going to be a character I would be seeing for the episodes to come, I would rather not see this character. So, I expect to see her character in the next few episodes to justify her screen-time in this episode.
We also have a bit of screen-time on the teachers in this episode, but I didn’t recap that portion.
Oh! Interesting though – there is another guy who is not human – or is he human? The guy which filled up the documents for Seul Bi. Did he happen to appear in earlier episodes? I CAN’T REMEMBER 😦
I don’t think he’s human – but I think people can actually see him, but he can see angels too. Who is he anyway? What is his relationship with Sunbae?
At the end of episode 3, Woo Hyun’s eyes widen – DID HE ACTUALLY SAW SUNBAE????
Alright – that’s roughly about it.
One episode per week is actually quite bad, given the number of characters they have in the drama. Unless they quickly solidify on which characters they want the viewers to focus on, it’s hard focusing on the minor characters. I wish they quickly decide and stop introducing new characters left and right, and make me forget all the names again by the next episode. Oh and I need constant interactions – to get their names in my head.
And I don’t think a lot of people actually watched Nail Shop Paris – but in that drama, each episode the main characters helped out a random stranger to solve their problems. I hope this drama doesn’t go in this direction, because it was bad – and concentrate more on it’s main characters and the whole angel-became-human.
I love Seul Bi’s character, who always seem so clueless on things regarding human – and her witty responses and her reactions are part of the fun in watching the drama.
I still love the drama a lot, but I need more reveals and mysteries regarding the whole Angel thing, to keep my interest going. I’m just so afraid of the drama losing direction and starts to focus more on high-school stuff which screams high-school drama to me, without actually doing anything to the Angel plot. I need story development 🙂 and because it only airs once a week, it will be better if the pace was slightly faster.
I think that’s about it for now. I have no more energy left to think. AHAHAHAHA. Till the next episode 🙂
