Kill Me Heal Me has aired the first two episodes and I love it!!! Actually I was worried because the whole plot sounds like it could be a mess – I mean the male lead has 7 different personalities – but I loved the first two episodes🙂
Of course, the main reason I’m watching this is because it’s Ji Sung! And his leading lady is Hwang Jung Eum. They had super hot fantastic chemistry during Secret Love, and I can’t wait to see the on-screen chemistry again. And we also have Park Seo Joon!
I’m going to write up a discussion and first impression post – not exactly a recap, but it would contain spoilers.
EPISODE 1 & 2
First of all, I don’t think that the first two episodes were that amazing, or anything to rave about. I guess it depends on the person watching the drama. I’m a huge fan of Ji Sung, so obviously I am beyond happy to see him on-screen.
However, if it was someone else watching the drama, they might not have enjoyed it as much as I did. It was a little over-the-top, and kind of confusing, I won’t deny.
But personally, besides watching this mainly for the casts, I do find some points of the drama interesting.
Meet Cha Do Hyun. Our male lead. And his personality is Mr Nice Guy. At least that’s what the people around him think. He can’t say no, and he behaves well. We could assume, he’s the ‘real’ personality.
I can’t really understand his background that well. His family history and family tree is a little confusing. Cha Gun Ho died in a car accident, together with his daughter in law. But is that his father? But that daughter-in-law is not his mother though (?)
Anyway, we can figure out the family tree much later. There’s more to it.
Do Hyun first meeting with Ri On on the plane. I didn’t think of anything at first…. until I realized…The man who cut out newspapers and collected information about Do Hyun’s family background, Seung Jin group is Oh Ri On.
Ri On is a mysterious writer – but is Do Hyun just a simple item subject he’s researching on? Or does he have something against Seung Jin group? Or is he simply investigating the incident out of pure curiosity?
We see them boarding the plane back to Incheon. I’m just wondering if Ri On had seen Do Hyun’s other personality on the plane? Maybe he did, but we are unaware, or maybe he didn’t.
And… he’s in love with Ri Jin.
He snatches her phone and saves his number as Shin Se Gi and told her to remember his gaze. He’s Shin Se Gi and there is only one of him. If there is another person who look like him with a different name, he’s a fake.
Ri Jin dresses up as Se Gi forced her to go out with him, but she is appalled that Do Hyun doesn’t recognized her. Do Hyun has no idea who she is, and still misunderstand that she is a mental patient, where as Ri Jin thinks she was dumped by Se Gi, ridiculously.
Ri Jin and Ri On had a sibling talk – and Ri On explained that he is living as 3 different person. Omega – the mysterious writer, Ri On – her brother, and Oh Whee to seduce ladies. Ri On explains that defining himself into 3 different person makes it easier for him to live. Something like Jekyll and Hyde.
Ri Jin thinks back about Se Gi and Do Hyun and realize their gazes are different.
Ri Jin is kidnapped by the guys Se Gi had beaten up at the club – and the guy wants his jacket back (which contain drugs).
Do Hyun is left with no choice and asks his secretary to beat him up so that Se Gi would come out. Se Gi is the only one who knows what happened.
THOUGHTS & DISCUSSION
Yes! Another personality is out!
Okay – what do I not like about the drama?
The family tree. It’s too complicating. But I guess it should get better as time pass by? There would probably be a battle for succession, and I hope from the bottom of my heart that drama doesn’t focus too much on that. I don’t really like succession battles in dramas. It gets boring when you watch too much of it. The conspiracy and villains. Ugh.
It’s a different thing if though if Do Hyun’s other personalities come out and fight battles for him. For example, if Se Gi comes out and fight Ki Joon.
Oh and the drugs in the jacket. I hope no one gets into trouble because of that. Because the last thing I want is over-excessive dramatic plots.
What do I like about the drama?
Hmmm…. Ji Sung? Hahahaha. Is that valid? Okay – I love the fact that Ji Sung is going to be portraying 7 distinct personalities. It will be interesting to watch how he acts out the different personalities, and the sweet fact that we don’t have to watch 7 different dramas, but just in this drama we can see Ji Sung in 7 different roles.
I don’t know if all 7 personalities would have a fair chance of appearing, but it seems that Se Gi is the strongest personality hidden in Do Hyun.
It’s interesting when I think about why Do Hyun is faced with this, and if he has possibly locked his past memories in his head, and that’s why he has other personalities, which expresses out his other feelings and emotions.
There is also Ri On – whom we don’t know why is he researching on Do Hyun, and Seung Jin group.
Oh – and we all know that Ri Jin will end up trying to cure Do Hyun – but it will probably be a little complicating as Se Gi likes her, but he hates psychiatrist.
Anyway, can’t wait for the next episode to see what Ferry Park brings to the screen. I love his accent – and he reminds me so much of Shin Ha Kyun!
That’s about it. People might find the drama so-so and nothing to rave about, but personally I liked it a lot. It’s just the Ji Sung factor, and the hot sizzling chemistry and Park Seo Joon🙂
