Which words of wisdom could you share, inspired from your interest in kdramas?
There are definitely more than one good quotes from kdramas, and many have, in one way or another, inspired or motivated me. As of now, I can’t really recall as many – but I would just state two which I can remember right now.
If you want to die, then die, but die tomorrow. If you feel it’s hard for you tomorrow as well, then die the day after that. If you feel the same pain the day after that, even if you die the next day and the day after that, it won’t be too late. If you live each day at a time like that, then a good day will definitely come. There will come a day where you’ll tell yourself, “I did a good thing of not killing myself back then.” – Oh Ri Jin, from Kill Me Heal Me
The next is not really a quote but a conversation between a guy who was trying to console a girl who has a one-sided crush on her best friend.
Guy: There are a lot of men and women in this world.
Girl: The world is wide and men are plentiful? You think I don’t know? You think people cry over love because they don’t know? What’s the use of having a wide world and plentiful men, when the guy I like doesn’t like me. That’s where the misfortune of romance begins. It’s not because the world is narrow and there aren’t enough men.
Girl: How are you going to console me now? There is no answer, right? I’m crying because there is no answer. If there was an answer, why would I cry.
Guy: So will you just keep crying?
Girl: Did I say I’ll just keep crying? Didn’t you see me working? I work, I eat, I drink with friends and hang out. When the thought occurs, I cry too. That’s how it is. That’s what life is.
What is kdrama blogging to you?
I love writing and expressing my thoughts though words – and I love watching dramas. What’s more to say? This is something I really enjoy doing. It’s probably a form to de-stress, though it can also be stressful at times – but the feeling after you finished a post is really satisfying.
Which one song in a Kdrama do you think perfectly suited the moments or scenes in the drama they were used?
There are a lot of good OST, but this was a perfect fit to the drama… *drumrolls*…
Hallucination by Jang Jae In, from Kill Me Heal Me OST. The rap lyrics and the whole story seems like a match made in heaven.
And my most recent addiction….. which is a song like a desperate cry for help.
Reset by Tiger JK ft Jinsil (Mad Soul Child), from School 2015 OST
Which drama finale past or present has got you screaming NOOOOOOO! or you wish you could change? (minus spoilers, just the title)
God’s Gift 14 Days. Never trust a drama till the last ending credits. The drama was so awesome throughout but the ending was really……..
Who was your first kdrama crush male or female? And is the crush still the same today or do you have a new one? If so who is it and why?
Hmmm….. this is a little tricky. I have plenty of actors/actresses I really like, and I would keep a lookout for their new dramas – but I wouldn’t call it a crush. There is definitely more than one. I can’t remember who was the first one though… but it might be Joo Ji Hoon. Princess Hours was one of the first few kdramas I watched back then and he was well… good looking.
As of now, I’m keeping my eyes on rookie Jisoo (from Angry Mom) and Sungjae (School 2015). I loved their respective characters in the dramas, and I think they would improve further in future 🙂
Which kdrama actor male or female do you think hasn’t reached their full potential? Considering roles or dramas. What do you think they should do differently? They could be established actors or upcoming.
Honestly, I think that everyone can push their limits – given that there is a good script which comes along. However, if I had to pick one actor who hasn’t fully showed their full potential… I would have to pick Park Shin Hye.
She has been acting for years already, but I think that roles she picked were all too safe and similar. I really want her to try something new, something daring which will push her forward. She really should look for good scripts and roles which are more complex and doesn’t require much crying – because we’ve seen her cry in too many dramas. I need her in something bad-ass.
Mind control. How bad (or not) is your kdrama addiction? (you can rate it from 1 to 10.)
8? I have sat though nights without sleeping to do a drama-marathon, and I would wait for the raw torrents right after it airs so that I could watch it. (I can understand basic conversation korean tho)
This is almost identical to the last question, but still humor me. What’s the worst thing kdramas made you do to yourself?
I…. took medical leave from work so that I could stay home and watch them dramas?
This question is about me. Taking a look at my blog what changes or improvements could I use to make this a better, relevant place?
I’ve looked through the site, and I think it’s pretty good already? Just keep on writing and occasionally post about your recommended to-watch dramas 🙂
Ten questions are a lot! Thanks for making it this far. So what is the one question no one has ever asked you, but you wished they had? And what would your answer be?
Hmmmm….. I can’t think of any – but I really wanted to answer your assigned question. So here goes…
Is there a drama you love for sentimental reasons, but when you think about it you realize it wasn’t a masterpiece?
Hong Gil Dong. I’ve watched many dramas – probably over hundreds, but the ending of Hong Gil Dong still haunts me at times. The drama was average as a whole – but the ending (spoilers ahead!) affected me for quite some time after the drama ended.
There was this scene where the Jang Geun Suk sent off Sung Yuri, who wanted to be by Hong Gil Dong’s side and both of them knew it was the last time they’ll be seeing each other because either JGS or HGD has to die. It was just sort of disturbing and sad seeing Jang Geun Suk sending off the girl he likes, knowing that he will order his men to kill them.
Okay here are my ten questions:
What was your first ever k-drama and back then what did you think about it? Imagine, what if, that drama didn’t air back then, but is airing now – would your review about the drama still be the same?
Name me one drama you’ve watched till the last episode, but regretted watching it. If there isn’t any, name me one drama you swore not to watch, but ended up watching and loving it.
What is the most difficult thing about running a kdrama blog?
Name me three actors (male or female) who you like best, and why.
If you were a writer, is there any particular plot you want to write about? Who would you cast in it and why?
Is there any drama that you’ve watched, and you think that it is underrated?
Name me three of your all-time favorite dramas.
Why do you like watching kdramas? Do you watch dramas of other languages, and if you do – what is the main difference between those and kdramas?
Just for fun, if you get to be in someone’s body for a day – which actor (male/female) would you be? Why?
Which drama are you looking forward to currently?
That’s about it. Thanks everyone for reading through this long post, and happy answering 🙂 Though this questions are being sent to other bloggers – but please feel free to answer them in my comments if you want to answer and join in the fun 🙂
