First Impression: LEGEND OF THE BLUE SEA

vlcsnap-2016-11-21-07h31m13s547Finally? The trailers looked wacky and I was excited for this but….the first two episodes did not match my expectations.

I’m not sure how to describe the drama so far, but I found it boring and a little unfocused? First of all the historical portion is  confusing. I know that it’s supposed to be something like a “reflection” of the present, how in the past, a mermaid and a human know each other and fell in love and created a bond.

However, I find that having that small portion in the two episodes was confusing and made us shift focus back and forth. I just thought that it might have been more effective if they showed all of the historical portions in the first episode followed by present time.

At least if they had showed the historical portion, we would know the consequences of a mermaid and human creating a bond and feel either excited or something about the present.

But right now, it’s hard to focus in a way because both the past is revealed at the same time where the present is happening. I can’t understand the purpose of it. It feels redundant in a way?

And besides this, though I have to agree there are some parts which were funny and wacky but, overall, I was bored. I can’t believe I watched such a long scene on Joon Jae running away.

But at least the location is pretty, yeah?

I hope the story picks up and gets interesting because looks like I might drop it if it stays the same.
