POV DISCUSSION: Night Watchman Episode 7 & 8

First of all – not a recap, and no screencaps. I just needed a place to talk about the progress in the current episodes. Anyone else watching it?

I think I have a love hate relationship with this drama. There are enough good stuff about it, but I cannot look past the flaws which is just staring at me in my face. The plot is not exactly boring, but I wish the drama was executed more…. smoothly? I don’t know – maybe it’s just me. But sometimes the drama just seems so random, and I’m left scratching my head, wondering what is happening.

I mean – first of all, I never get it, why the current king actually have those nightmares. If Sadam had planted those nightmares, to be able to work in the palace – I wished it was shown more clearly. Maybe they did show, and I kind of forget about it. However, is Sadam’s goal….just to send the Dragon God to the heaven? Really? Like seriously? I thought it would be something grand like take over the whole world, with ghosts or something. Maybe it is – but then again, his motives are not explained clearly.

POV DISCUSSION: Various Currently Airing Dramas

Alright, I’m back – I wanted to do separate posts for each dramas, but I figured out that I would hardly have time to do so anyway, so I just decided to post discussions on various dramas in one post as it is much easier. There will not be any screencaps and it’s not a recap.

I would be writing about my first impressions on Discovery of Romance, My Secret Hotel, MAMA, The Three Musketeers, and normal discussions for Endless Love, The Night Watchman and It’s Okay It’s Love. Marriage Not Dating has ended airing – and I will doing up a separate post for that.

POV DISCUSSION: The Night Watchman Episode 3 & 4

The adult casts have taken over, and thankfully, Episode 3 & 4 was much better than the earlier two episodes, though I still have some unanswered questions.

The biggest concern I had about the drama, honestly, was more of the acting rather than the story. As of now, I think they’re doing fine. It still feels awkward looking at Yunho act, but I would say he looks good, and with all those martial arts moves, it makes his character much more pleasing to my eyes.

Seo Ye Ji looks amazing, and it might be too early to say, but I don’t think I would have to worry about her acting. She was really good in the sitcom Potato Star, well to me.

Go Sung Hee is still awkward with certain expressions, but her character seems like-able enough, so as long as the character grows on me, I think it would be bearable. Unless she has to do a difficult emotional scene, and she doesn’t deliver – well, I hope that doesn’t happen.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The Night Watchman Episode 1 & 2

vlcsnap-2014-08-11-19h38m46s224

Somebody, save this drama. I really wanted to pull my hair while watching, and I can’t wait till the adult counterparts appear and hopefully they would save me from despair.

I wouldn’t say it’s THAT bad, but it was…. kind of boring – okay, it is BORING. A little bit ridiculous, and a little bit too draggy. The ‘black’ smoke effect for the ghost is alright, but the dragon…. I…just….can’t 😦 And it turned into stone. For a moment, I thought I was watching Harry Potter and Narnia – where the evil guy ‘controlled’ the dragon and when the dragon eventually turned into stone.

Okay – let’s not forget the bow which is made for the Joseon kings. AHAHAHAHA. Is that like Sword in the Stone???

(REVIEW ONLY – NOT A RECAP)
